Carson Hocevar's Growing Collection: A Unique Hobby Unveiled
Carson Hocevar, the Spire Motorsports driver, has an intriguing new hobby that's catching the attention of many. He's on a mission to collect and preserve iconic vehicles from NASCAR's rich history, and his latest acquisition is a real head-turner.

But here's where it gets controversial... Hocevar, known for his social media antics, has added a classic red Cup Series car to his collection. The No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger, once driven by Kasey Kahne, now sits proudly in his possession. With its sponsor logos and Kahne's name still visible, it's a true piece of NASCAR history.
However, given Hocevar's history of false social media posts, some might question the authenticity of this addition. But multiple posts and videos on his social media accounts seem to confirm the purchase. From testing the brake lights (which, surprisingly, didn't work!) to revving the engine, Hocevar seems to be enjoying his new toy.
So, what's next for Hocevar and his growing collection? During a Twitch stream, he hinted at his plans. He believes he can modify an old-style Cup Series car to drift, and he's determined to give it a shot. This bright red Dodge is just the beginning of his unique hobby.
Hocevar's journey into collecting old NASCAR vehicles started not too long ago. In the summer, he acquired a 1997 Silverado adorned with Dale Earnhardt graphics, which he drove around North Carolina, leaving people in awe. He then added a 1977 Oldsmobile Cutlass with Buddy Baker's iconic "Gray Ghost" livery to his collection.
"I've always wanted street-legal race cars as a kid," Hocevar shared at the World Wide Technology Raceway. "Every time I browse Facebook Marketplace, it's like these cars are popping up more and more. It's either that, or my algorithms know my preferences, or people are listing these cars, knowing I'll probably buy them!"
During a press conference at WWT Raceway, Hocevar revealed his eyes were set on a Kahne Car of Tomorrow from the 2012 season. But that was just the start. Hocevar has a long list of classic cars he wants to add to his collection, including a Monte Carlo and a Lumina. He's even considering the COT, but first, he needs to build a shop to house his growing fleet.
"The most fun part is driving these cars. They won't just sit and collect dust. I'll be out there, enjoying them!"
So, what do you think of Hocevar's unique hobby? Is it a fun way to preserve NASCAR history, or just a quirky collection? Share your thoughts in the comments!
